Cookie Policy
Last updated: 12 August 2026
This site uses two categories of storage. Only the first runs before you choose.
Essential — always on
| Name | Type | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| ok_consent | localStorage | Remembers your cookie choice so we stop asking | 180 days |
| ok_creative, ok_utm, ok_sub_ok, ok_lead_sent | sessionStorage | Remembers which advertisement you arrived from, and whether the newsletter form already succeeded, so it is not counted twice | Until you close the tab |
These are not used for advertising and are not shared with anyone.
Marketing — only with your consent
If you accept, we load the TikTok Pixel. It measures whether our advertising
reaches people interested in these books. TikTok sets its own identifiers, typically including
cookies such as _ttp and ttclid, with lifetimes set by TikTok — generally
up to about thirteen months. TikTok describes its own use of these in its cookie documentation.
We send TikTok three events: that a book page was viewed, that the Amazon button was clicked, and that a newsletter subscription succeeded. We never send your email address, a hashed version of it, or any other personal identifier. We do not enable Advanced Matching.
If you decline, the pixel is never requested, the site works normally, the buy button works normally, and the newsletter form works normally.
Changing your mind
Use here or in the footer of any page. Declining stops any further events immediately. Cookies TikTok already set in your browser are removed by clearing site data in your browser settings, or they expire on their own schedule.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of marketing cookies and do not show the banner.
